Our Wines

Origin: Arpa valley, Vayots Dzor Region, Armenia

Climate: Dry continental climate and large diurnal temperature fluctuations with the average annual rainfalls of 400 mm and mountain-valley winds. The average air temperature in January is 5°- 6°C, with a coldest temperature of -22°C and highest of +35°C in July-August.

Vineyards: 3,5 ha of own vineyards on Arpa valley hillsides of Vayots Dzor Region. Altitude: 1200-1250 meters asl, soil: ideal combination of the sand, silt and clay, age: 6-10 years, density: 3000 grapes / ha, yield: 4000 - 5000 kg / ha.

Harvest date: End of October. Hand harvested in 15 kg boxes.

Vinification: Hand harvested and selected grapes undergo fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 25°-28°C for 15-20 days, followed by malolactic fermentation. Wine is aged in 350l Caucasian oak barrels for twenty-four months.

Made from Armenian indiginous grape variety Voskehat this is our iconic vintage wine combining traditions of 6000-year old viticulture with modern winemaking. Following hand harvesting and hand destemming the grapes have undergone a thoroughly controlled fermentation, resulting in masterful preservation of outstanding freshness, high acidity and richness of aromas and flavours of quince, plum, wild flowers and honey. This full-bodied wine elegant palate of soft tannins, fruits and exceptional balance with harmony leads to captivating long, pleasant finish.

OLD BRIDGE 2017 RESERVE Estate bottled barrel-aged dry red wine


Following careful hand harvesting and hand destemming the grapes have undergone fermentation in Armenian oak barrels. This full bodied wine has a range of aromas of various wild flowers and honey captivating smoky, gamy character with pronounced coffee, chocolate and tobacco. Its elegant palate with silky tannins, rich acidity and exceptional balance and harmony leads to captivating long pleasant finish. The wine was aged in Armenian oak barrels for 18 months with substantial bottle aging before the release.

OLD BRIDGE 2015 RESERVE Estate bottled barrel-aged dry red wine


Following careful hand harvesting and hand destemming the grapes have undergone fermentation in Armenian oak barrels. The wine is amazingly well balanced, between fine tannins and sharp acidity. The nose reveals a lot of complexity, with velvety notes of oak, sour cherry, spices, bramble and hints of dark chocolate and smoke. This elegant structure and harmony of aromas lead to captivating long and pleasant finish. The wine was aged in Armenian oak barrels for 24 months with substantial bottle aging before the release.

Old Bridge 2012 White dry wine

Tasting notes: This wine is unique due to its unity of flavors of  fresh grapes, wild flowers, honey pleasant aromas. The light wheat colour of the wine has a golden shade. The wine is produced by combining old traditions and new technologies. 

 

Winemaker's comment: An important feature of the wine is the late grape harvest, which was carried out in early November, providing a high sugar content of grapes and unique taste and aroma. The grape was fully disengaged from vines before crushing.

This wine suits with meals as rabbit and poultry meat, fish and seafood, fresh soft cheese, goat cheese Alpine and Lactic.

wine has no aging limitations if held between + 8 ° C- + 16 ° C

OLD BRIDGE 2009 RESERVE Estate bottled barrel-aged dry red wine

This unique wine contains cherry, floral aromatics, unity of natural leather, nice vanilla and oak aromas, accented with velvety tannins combination. The  wine has a unique ruby colour with  bright purple shades. The wine is produced by combining old traditions and new technologies. Aged in 350 liter oak barrels made within 2 years.

An important feature of the wine is the late grape harvest, which was carried out in early November, providing a unique taste and aroma of grapes. The grape was fully disengaged from vines before crushing.

This wine suits perfectly with such meals as rabbit, wild rabbit, turkey meat, wild fowl, roast quail, pheasant, duck, lightly aged and fresh soft cheese, goat cheese Alpine and Lactic.
